Bachelor of Applied Science, Network Supervising Scientist, Serology/Molecular Biology Department, Northern Territory Government Pathology Services, Royal Darwin Hospital, NT, Australia.  Kevin Freeman graduated in 1983 from the University of Tasmania; worked at Royal Hobart Hospital from 1984 to 1994 in Microbiology/Serology/Virology. Joined Royal Darwin Hospital in 1994 initially in Microbiology and then as Supervisor for the Serology/Molecular Biology Department. Responsible for Infectious Disease/Sexual Health diagnostic testing in Serology and Molecular Biology - HIV, Hepatitis, Syphilis, HTLV, Burkholderia pseudomalei Serology, Chlamydia trachomatis/Neisseria gonorrhoeae PCR, Influenza PCR plus others. 
Areas of interest are Burkholderia pseudomallei serological testing, changes in Neisseria gonorrhoeae, HTLV diagnosis. During this time I have been involved in some major events, testing during the East Timor conflict, Swine Influenza pandemic and significant changes in Neisseria gonorrhoeae testing.
