Susan Best

 


Following qualification as a medical scientist, Susan worked in several pathology laboratories around Australia, before 3 years working in the UK in a national public health laboratory. On her return to Australia in 1990, she joined the NRL and over the following years has completed a Masters of Applied Science, and an MBA from Melbourne University. Sue has been NRL’s Director since 2010. NRL‘s mission is to promote the quality of tests and testing for infectious diseases globally. It does this by providing Quality Assurance programs to laboratories worldwide, and capacity building programs in the Asia Pacific region. NRL is a WHO collaborating centre for Diagnostics and Laboratory Support for HIV and other blood borne infections.
