Effects of Online Comprehensive Sexual Health Education for LGBT Youth

Dr Brian Mustanski

LGBT youth experience sexual health disparities, including higher rates of HIV/AIDS and teen pregnancy. They receive less sexual health education from schools and parents, and when they do, it rarely addresses same-sex behavior and relationships. Online education may help meet these needs. The purpose of this study was to develop and test a novel online comprehensive sexual health education program for LGBT youth called “Queer Sex Ed (QSE)”.
