Stroke survivors' perspectives on sexual concerns and the need for information.

Mallika Aurora

Stroke can cause depression, anxiety, fatigue, low self-esteem, rejection by partner, sexual dysfunction, communicational problems, role changes, mobility problems and altered sexuality. Stroke survivors report increased sexual concerns that are often neglected during rehabilitation along with psychological issues that may affect those concerns.

Recorded in October 2012 at the 13th ASSERT National Conference on:
Sexuality: Beyond Difficulties, Definitions and Diversity, Melbourne, Australia.
