Factors Influencing the Types of Child Sexual Abuse within and Outside the Family

Prof. Maria Beisert PhD, DSc.

The factors influencing the type of domestic and non-domestic sexual violence towards children were examined in a sample of 100 men perpetrators sentenced and jailed for this crime. The main aims of the research are to look for the correlation between the sets of factors causing the child sexual abuse and classify perpetrators (on the basis of both the kinds of victims and on the method of manipulating them). The author asks the question whether and how the differences between factors causing abuse interfere with the type of abusers and with the differences in their method of acting.
