Cuba: From gender equity towards LGBT rights

The initiatives developed throughout the Cuban revolutionary process in the 60s and 70s to enhance the women’s rights not only determined substantial change in the conditions of men and women, but also the further establishment of social policies which included a National Program for Sex Education, whose main benefits where oriented to women, girls, boy, adolescents and young people.
