Substance use patterns among sex workers & other frontline service workers

Dr Mikael Jansson

Epidemiological research on sex workers have reported link between high rates of illicit drug use, and poor health outcomes, including elevated rates of: sexual assault, client violence, STIs, HIV/AIDS and mortality. These data support harm reduction interventions of targeted  population of sex workers.
